Robert D. Buxbaum, CLU, ChFC
Robert D. Buxbaum, CLU, ChFC, is
a principal of Bay Financial Associates, LLC, heading
the Planned Estate Services division, which specializes
in insurance and fringe benefit planning for closely-held
businesses. Specifically, that specialty includes
business-owner estate planning, business continuity
planning, group insurance, selective executive benefit
planning, and charitable estate planning.
Bob began his profession in 1974,
and formed the Planned Estate Services Company in
1978. He achieved his CLU designation in 1979 and
ChFC in 1984. Additionally, he is a Licensed Insurance
Advisor and an Accredited Estate Planner. He has
twice served as a Director of the Boston Estate
Planning Council and has served on the national
Board of Directors of The Society of Financial Service
Professionals, and is a past President of the Boston
Chapter of that organization.
Additionally, he has served as President
of several civic and other non-profit organizations.
Bob is currently a Trustee of the Ellis Memorial
and Eldridge House in Boston.
He has spoken both nationally and
locally to other professionals in the estate planning
area, including the Boston Estate Planning Council,
the Syracuse Life Underwriters Association and the
Life Underwriters Training Council. Bob has been
published in the Boston Business Journal,
Life & Health Advisor, and National Underwriter.
He was recently cited by LIFE in Newsweek for
outstanding service to one of his business clients.
